| I see your point. But this point basically is "I cannot trust my fellow player" if you assume the reason someonme steals your weapon is to gank you.
I think as a community we should be able to trust our fellow players. We should be able to give them the benefit of doubt. We should not assume that if they break rules *, it is done to screw you. We should assume it's done to enhance roleplaying.
Why should we do that? Because we should be able to trust people like you, our GMs, to recruit able roleplayers who break or bend rules (with moderation) not because they want to screw you, but because it may help to create better roleplaying experience.
Also I trust my GMs judgement to war guilds where I can safely assume that their members are trustworthy roleplayers who's actions will improve my RP experience and not make it worse.
*) granted, use your head and this thing called common sense here. If you catch someone ganking and looting every other player around you, then this may not be RP....
