Marksmen Captain missing
Devante Stirling disappears in Ilshenar By Poste Correspondant, Roger Kilbride
Captain Stirling of the Royal Marksmen has gone missing, according to his elven ladyfriend, Gwen Irima.
Stirling had been invited to a meeting with Duke Irvyn on Wednesday night, and had travelled to the meeting place, at Compassion Shrine in Ilshenar. However, the duke, who had been injured by a poison elemental earlier that day, was suddenly taken sick and the meeting was postponed at short notice.
Although Captain Stirling was seen entering Trinsic moongate on his way to the shrine, he has not been since.
A search party sent out last night recovered Stirling?s bracelet of binding, inscribed ?Gwen Irima?, close to the Compassion Shrine, but there was no sign of the man himself.
Friends and allies of the captain fear that he may have been captured by Yew in retaliation for his decision to side with Trinsic against the militia. However, the captain has not yet been spotted in Yew, so there is no solid evidence that this is the case, as yet.
Paladins? Isle Crater claims Callum Fitzhugh
Shadow Courtier disappears in mad plunge
The Shadow Court?s Callum Fitzhugh astonished onlookers earlier this week by riding his ghostly horse directly into the crater on Paladins? Isle.
Fitzhugh, whose erratic and often suicidal nature has earned him a reputation for being a drama queen, had been aiding Commander Jordan Jurrel in a
fierce battle against the creatures spawned by the crater a week ago.
After taking on a never-ending stream of blood and poison elementals, shadow wyrms and nether vortices, Fitzhugh was seen to strip down to his kilt and then spur his horse towards the crater at full pelt, whilst shouting ?Death or Glory!?
What Fitzhugh hoped to gain from this seemingly suicidal act is anyone?s guess. His fate is uncertain. Although it seems likely that the ageing warrior has perished, no one really knows what is inside the crater, or where it leads to.
Our thoughts are with Lucy Lastic, Fitzhugh?s long-suffering partner, and his daughter Scathatch.

Rumours
According to the latest gossip, Duke Irvyn summoned Sosaria?s leaders to a hush hush secret meeting at an undisclosed location. There have been plenty of talks about Trinsic?s latest troubles with the horrible crater on the Paladins? Isle, but apparently, this was not the topic of conversation.
Since Mister ?Oo-arrr oo-arr call me Lord Protecturr? Klion was the only leader of note not to be present, can we assume that he was the topic of conversation? It seems likely.
Ghastly little horror Claire was seen outside Trinsic last night, though by all accounts she was behaving as if butter wouldn?t melt, for once. Has she learned from having her mouth washed out with soap by the fearsome Commander Soulshadow, or is it all a fa?ade to disguise her fiendish intents? We shall see!

Letters
Dear Poste,
It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter, for it seems the our beloved Poste is no longer a newspaper, but has become a propaganda sheet for Yew.
As a former editor of the Poste, and a some time correspondent, I have done my best to contribute to this underfunded and much-maligned newspaper. Sosaria has always been in a constant state of flux, yet the Poste has been there to report the news, from the birth of Duke Irvyn?s son and heir to the terrible invasion of the blackrock elementals.
Sadly, though, it seems that, in these troubled times, other editors have been less interested in delivering the news that in printing biased and factually incorrect stories in a deliberate attempt to sway public opinions.
Yesterday I submitted a story to the Poste regarding the kidnapping of Captain Kaelyn and Trinsic. To my horror, this story was edited in such a way that the real villains of the piece were made to look like heroes.
Clearly, Gretcha Gossip (a made-up name if every I heard one) is either the pen name of one of Klion?s hirelings, if not Klion himself, or she is taking backhanders. Either way, I feel unable to contribute any further news to the Thursday edition of the Poste, knowing that she will twist and manipulate my words to her own design.
I have enclosed the original story, which is factually correct, and would be grateful if you would print it so that the world can see the truth.

Duchy Captain freed in daring rescue
Kaldor Vipers save tortured Kaelyn from Yew thugs By Post Correspondant, Roger Kilbride
Missing Duchy guard captain, Kaelyn, was freed last night after almost a week in captivity. Concerns were raised over her whereabouts after she failed to show up for guard duty last Thursday, but a quick search revealed that she was not at her home, nor had she had she taken anything with her.
Her whereabouts was finally discovered last night by a passer-by, who spotted the guard captain being used as a punchbag during a Yew militia training session, and ran to Trinsic to raise the alarm.
Kaldor Viper captain, Talon, who recently lost an eye at the hands of Yewish inquisitors, volunteered for the rescue mission and, after trapping the militia trainees in their own makeshift fort, managed to get Kaelyn back to the moongate and safety.
Kaelyn, one of the most popular members of Trinsic?s guard force, had been badly beaten and had three fingernails ripped out during her interrogation. She had also developed a fever after a wound became infected, and was left close to death for several days.
She is now recovering at an undisclosed location, whilst Trinsic looks for ways to bring those responsible to justice.

Kindest Regards,
Roger Kilbride Poste Correspondant
Dear Poste,
Regarding your article on the kidnapping of both Captain Kaelyn and Danifae D?Gar, I feel I must point out a few glaring errors. First and foremost, there were no prisoners brought to Strongholt last week after myself. I was there from Wednesday night, so had Kaelyn been taken there, I would have seen her arrive. Secondly, I was treated more than fairly during my stay there, as anyone else could attest I was returned safe and sound, and in one piece.
While it is true that Danifae D?Gar was taken to Strongholt on Monday evening, and returned the same day, it is untrue that Kaelyn was handed over to Guardsmen at the same time. I was present during both Danifae?s capture and handover, the second of which took place after the Guardsmen and White Eagles tried to burn down the building she was housed in at the time. It is true that my husband was present on this occasion, however, he was dressed in his full uniform at the time, not as a brigand, as was suggested by your article.
On Tuesday evening, Natalie of the Duchy Guard informed Shelly of Kaldor, Talon and myself that she had intelligence regarding Kaelyn?s whereabouts. Acting on this intelligence, Talon went to Yew, with the intention of mounting a rescue. He spoke to me via communication crystal, informing me that the Yewish were making a battered and beaten Kaelyn repeatedly run some kind of gauntlet, knocking her down at the end of it each time. Not long after that, a few of us mobilised to assist with the rescue, and Kaelyn was returned to Trinsic successfully.
I would therefore strongly suggest that your reporters check their facts more thoroughly in future, instead of fabricating articles based on one sided stories.
Yours Faithfully
Sgt. Elise QM Royal Marksmen Regiment
Dere Poste.
I dont now where you got your informashon from for your report about Captain Kaelyn but it is complete lies wich I now as I was told by a Covian that it was Yew who had got her and it was me sent Talon to find her and then he got her out wich we was all very gratefull for. The Kaldorians didnt do nothing exept rescue her and look after her it was the Yew peple who hert her. Your reporter needs to lern that some things make more sense than others and that report didnt make any.
Yours sincerly
Natalie Guardswoman
Duchy of Trinsic
Dear Editor,
I was very disappointed to read the fabricated nonsense about Captain Kaelyn's rescue in Thursday's Poste.
Your editor, Ms Gossip, is obviously an agent of Yew and should resign immediately for her attempt to include blatant propaganda in her edition.
Captain Kaelyn was captured and tortured by the dishonorable dogs of Yew, and rescued by our brave Kaldor Vipers, not the other way around.
She will attest to this herself, if you take the time to ask her.
I thought this was Ye Morning Poste, not Yew Morning Poste.
Yours
Azedine Kesh Army of Kaldor Ed ? Well, quite the hornet?s nest Gretcha stirred up there, isn?t it darlings? Perhaps she has a deathwish! Or perhaps she?s been getting a bit to friendly with one of those burly besiegers (though heaven knows why! That hair dye they all seem to use is the most frightful colour, and personally, I?d rather roll in the hay with a man who actually bathed). Either way I can only apologise on behalf of the Poste. Perhaps Miss Kaelyn would like to give her side of the story, for the record? -----------------------------
