(OOC: It was April, Darkion, Van, and myself (Jasper). Didn't get any screen shots either though, sorry.)

On receiving the orders guard April immediately organised a small unit of guardsmen. Just as we were about to set out the lord Darkion appeared and personally took command of the unit. We encountered little resistance as we made our way to the location of the suspected Orc encampment; surprising given that our route took us in close proximity to the hostile town of Yew. However; as we came close to our destination we were ambushed by a large, but rather disorganised and ragged, warband of orcs; but thankfully managed to defeat them easily with our superior training and equipment.

While searching the bodies of the fallen enemies for information, we detected a foul stench emanating from nearby, and on investigation found a network of caverns that a large number of these vile creatures appeared to be inhabiting. On entering the caverns we immediately encountered stiff opposition from the enemies' defensive forces. After a hard and lengthy battle we managed to punch through the enemies hastily erected defenses and into the deepest cave; encountering an unusually large orc which appeared to be acting as some kind of a leader. Upon slaying this orc the tattered remnants of the enemy forces routed.

Thankfully we sustained no casualties, although some of the guardsmen did receive some minor injuries. We torched the dwellings and any supplies we could find, in case the enemy came back, and then returned to Haven to make our report. Perhaps we should send some arcanists or engineers back to collapse the entrances to these tunnels, lest they fall into enemy hands again?
