Here is something to make everyone feel good. The ultimate brownie recipe. I have translated it from the original French into what I like to call "Baking for dummies, or Julie's guide to podgy yummyness"
Ingredients:
225g butter
350g caster sugar
4 eggs
125g plain flour
75g cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
100g Toblerone (or sometimes I use a combo of plain, milk & white chocolate)
Preheat the oven to 180C
Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the vanilla extract. Add the eggs one at a time. Sieve in the flour and cocoa powder. Mix until the consistancy of a slightly sloppy cake batter. Stir in the broken up chocolate pieces.
Pour into the greased baking tray (or use one of the silicone ones, I do and they never stick).
Bake for 40 minutes, or until the top is cracked and crunchy looking and a knife comes out almost clean.
Either eat warm, or smother in cream. mmmmmmmmmmm
