When I moved house, I took the master key for my Fiat Punto out of the little three drawer unit that goes next to the computer, and put it into (I think) my handbag for safekeeping during the move. It was in a little white envelope and is crucial to have if you need to get a new key for the car.
Shortly after the move, the Punto died, I eventually got a new car and my car bloke took the Punto away. He rang me tonight, asking for the master key, as the key he has is not working for some reason.
Can I find the sodding key?? No, I cannot. I've turned the apartment upside down, and looked everywhere I can think of, but the bloody thing is nowhere to be found. I'm certain I zipped it into the inside pocket of my handbag, but it's not there. And I'm getting the guilt trip off the car bloke, because he's got nothing to drive now, (strange how he told me the Punto couldn't be fixed....)
Should I be feeling guilty? I don't think so, since I didn't know the stupid car was going to go kaput minutes after I moved house.
I can't help thinking that I should have left the fecking thing in the drawer, where it would have been perfectly safe, and I wouldn't have missed nearly all of Life On Mars to search for it.
