Character background
Kendra is the younger sister of Meygan, by around 20 years.
Like her sister, she was sent by her parents to study magery at the Moonglow Lycaceum. In addition to the usual pressures put on her by noble parents, she also wanted to find her way out from her sister's shadow, to come out at the very least equal in the inevitable comparisons between them.
To accomplish this, she threw herself into her studies, and eventually managed to pull herself ahead of her peers, and almost equal to her sister.
Self-conscious of what she had accomplished, she was able to take leave from her lessons at the Lycaceum in order to learn how to use a bow bow on its own, and in combination with the magic she had learned.
Prior to concluding her lessons in archery, she received news of what had happened at the Lycaceum with the Dark Wisps. Neither her, nor her parents, had heard from Meygan, and Kendra assumed the worst, and abandoned her studies to find out what had happened to her sister, one way or another.
Eventually, someone at the Lycaceum told her that Meygan was doing fieldwork in Trinsic, and Kendra went out searching, with no idea of where to find her sister, save for a passingly familiar city name.
She found her sister, in the end, in Trinsic, and made the decision to continue her own studies, and help her sister with her own work, in lieu of telling her parents what she'd done.
