Warhammer based guild ideas Ok. I've played warhammer fantasy for most of my life (now that's scary). I gave up and lost interest in the gaming system about 2 years ago in favour of reading the books and enjoying the lore that surounds the game.
So on that basis I think I have quite a good grasp of the warhammer world in general.
Some ideas for an RP guild based in the warhammer world: Empire
Empire militia - a band of humans (with maybe some ogres) who make up a rag tag mob of semi-well equiped fighting men. mostly halberdiers, spearmen, archers, crossbowmen. maybe led by a well equipped noble or just a militia captain or sergeant.
Empire household - a rich noble, surrounded by his advisors and personal knights. Would allow for a large number of options ranging from civilians to household mages and maybe a militia unit. Chaos
Chaos cult - a band of chaotic humans. probably quite purely equipped. maybe led by a chaos warrior of somesort.
chaos warband - a large band of many forms of warriors, sorcerers and creatures from the chaos wastes. led by a champion of chaos. Dwarf
Kings guard - a band of dwarf hammerers only.
Dwarf cave patrol - a band of dwarf iron breakers only.
Dwarf clan - much like the empire household. led by a dwarf thane, would allow for all types of dwarves to be part of it. Greenskins
Orc warband - a Horde of various types of greenskins led by the biggest the badest and the greenest one of them.
My personal favourites are the Empire Household as our GM can be the noble and lead the guild in that role, or the Chaos warband for much the same reason. The other ideas are very limiting and especially not great for beta testing for this reason also.
