So heres my thoughts.
When I started playing WoW it was mainly as a true means of escapism from the "pressures" of playing UO which, if you want to take an active part in requires a lot of dedicated time - otherwise you just miss out on too much stuff and get left behind. I played it solo for about three months and it was a blast with some interesting little rp lite things going on.
Then I realised I missed the fun and camaraderie of a guild and the multi=player aspect of a mmo and so I hooked up with some ex-uoers on Defias an rpvp server in wow. Problem was I was already so far "behind" that I was never going to catch up and wouldnt want to ne some sort fo burden on the rest etc etc
This time around I want to go play a game with some mates - which is what I should have done in wow to start off with.
I always wanted to play a game "from the start" and this gives me an opportunity to do that very thing. I dare say after two weks Ill be lagging behind again - but I dont care - the chance to play a game with players I have always admired and liked givves me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Sounds a bit g-hey I know but there you go.
I will play any sort of race, alignment or species - I will role play , pvm , pvp , whatever it takes just to have some honest fun with the people I have come to see as people I can relate to and get on with.
And like Aeri/Ozle said soemwhere "isnt it time we were all in a game together again?"
