so it seems North Korea are claiming they succesfully tested a nuke clicky

though it looks like it was a small nuke (or a rather large quanity of TNT)

slight sane theory time:

A) they actually blew up some tnt and are claiming it was a nuke to look all big and scary

B) the nuke was tiny

C) the test didn't go quite right and there wasn't a proper nuclear explosion

A,B and C are rather boring and will probably leed to weeks/months of posturing from all sides, not much to worry about in the long term, excepting of course our continual loss of liberties and freedoms under the guise of making us safer from terrorists

so wild conspiracy theory time!

politically convieniant timing for the upcoming US elections, means the war happy oppressors will propbably keep power!

the US put NK up to it in the hopes that china would invade, thus weakening china and taking out a pesky little state that keeps distracting the US from getting more oil out of the middle east

hmm all in all i wouldn't want to be living in south korea at the mo (or north for that matter)
