Bleh, some weeks it have been recently.
Since the explotion, that blow a wall of the Citadel in Stonekeep - the Yewians have been visiting Vesper the last few days.
Tuesday they arrived with more than a handful of Guards.
The Vesperians were a bit outnumbered, but I had faith in them - It takes more than a little outnumbering to get Vesperians.
The Yewians wanted to ask questions to both the Veeties and the Guardsmen of Vesper, but Draxie wasn't really in the mood for haveing a chit-chat with them and in the end, it did show.
I doubt, there will ever be peace between Vesper and Yew - Our believes and goals are so diffrent..
I didn't agree with the tactic Draxie had in up his sleeve.
Gawd did we pay for it yesterday - Yeeeeeeeeees Sir!
The Vesperians were going inside the Swaggers - Leaveing the Yewians outside and then they started to disguss how to deal with the Yewians.
I tried to protest, as I really felt, they were bringing the Staff and the Swaggers in danger, useing the Inn as theire battlefield - But the time was really, really bad... and Draxie was about to fight the Yewians and my guess is - he just thought I was beeing hysterric.
Well, In a way - Draxie's tactic worked. The Vesperian Militia didn't suffer any losses and the Yewians had to limp home without any answers to theire questions.
I had a bad feeling about it and I tried to explain my frustrations and my worries to Olk. Things just got very misunderstood and yesterday my fears became a reality.
We were at the Swaggers and chatting with the few Vesperians who were inside and then the Kaldorians who stopped by for a pint and a chat.
They are great, I like them.
Anyways - The Yewians arrived and a Yewian Footman came inside and ordered all Staff at the Swaggers outside, as the was a message for the Veeties.
They wanted to line us up outside, but a Yewian must have grabbed for Cala - Because all the sudden the Kaldorians was attacking!
I were like "What the feck?!" When Draxie ordered the Vesperians to step down and not take part. Thank Gawd Esca were there, he ignored Draxens orders and the Vesperian Guards started to chase the Yewians.
- Bleeding hell! I got a shock! I just stood pressed up against the wall, hopeing that someone wouldn't fire a bolt, swinging an axe or a hally at me!
Gorn resived a nasty cut on his thigh and Cala asked me to help her stitch the wound together. When I were done tending the wound, Gorn were ordered to follow - the battle wasn't over, as I first thought.
Then Van or Jackal came running, claiming that the Yewians had kidnapped Kiran. Mmm this might sound cold but to be honest, I had my doubts.
Kiran just aint the type, that gets caught..
The Yewians came back, but no sign of Kiran and then the Heir Caden D'Gar delivered the message.
With the episode the day before, the Yewians told me, that if the Vesperian Militia was found fighting the Yewians from the Swaggers. They would burn it down and we would be considered to have sympathy for the 'Rebels'.
I tried to explain to that stubborn and ignorant Halfbreed, that I actually had tried to ask the Vesperian Militia, not to use the Swaggers. But the Heir didn't listen - it was like speaking to a door. ´
The Kaldorians and some of the Vesperian Guards attacked again. And this time, it was worse... and I guess, the Yewians won this round.
Commander Soulshadow returned limping and Gawd she was furious. According to her and some of the other Kaldorians, Kiran had attacked them! The minute they said that, it just felt like time was standing still and I was standing outside myself.. Just watching the madness.
Deep inside, I knew the Kaldorians wasn't lying and I wished, Kiran never had told me about his past, cause then I would have been able to doubt the Kaldorians words..
And when Kiran got back, I didn't raise a finger to try stop the Commander from beating Kiran. I just watched and the thought that harrashed my mind was just - "Finish him of! Grab a mace, smack his skull in... Just finish it!"
Kirans explanation didn't impress me at all.
He claimed that, the Yewians had used his daugthers final resting place against him and forced him to attack.
Lies. IT'S ALL A LIE! Can't they see it??!
The Man killed his own child, because she was born diffrent!!
But who am I to judge anyone?
I am no better than Kiran. I don't tell them, nor do I warn anyone against him and that makes me, just as bad as him...
