Dreams from the past....the sunlight breaking trough the the leaves leaving a green shimmer in the forest...the soft grass on his feet...the wind blowing trough his hair standing at the clif near his village while the waves beat down on the beach below him....horses running over the planelands ,free and untamed...one with nature...one with Dondinia

Slowly Corwin opened his eyes as the images in his head faded away. The temple of Dondinia always brought peace to his mind , bringing back pleasant memories from home here in these ilforgotten lands. Not that he regretted being here. Serving Kaldor had always been a honour for him and in the end it didn't matter where he would be fighting. At least he had found Hildy here. A smile appeared on his face as the image of the trinsician girl came into his mind. What a kaldorian she would have been. Honourable , honest , prepared to die for her believes. But that loyalty he so admired in her was also what kept her on the other side , the same way he would never betray his own land. And he knew she would never ask him too. He looked back up to the image of the goddess infront of him. He took some of the flowers he brought and placed them on the altare together with some fruit , an offering to the goddess of life and nature.
He had neglected her lately . The goddess was a patient one but he knew even her patience had it's limits , as some would soon find out. The young mauls face twisted in hidden anger as he thought again at Gorns betrayal. To turn away from Dondinia giving himself to Raza... it was something that would not go unpunished. But to carry the mark of Raza and then walk into HER temple , to be wedded by a razan priestess....it was the ultimate blasphemy. Using all his wilpower he managed to control the upcoming outbust of anger. Even though she represents live and balance , Dondinia was a kaldorian goddess , and Corwin knew that her wrath would strike Gorn sooner or later in all it's fury. If she not already did so... His mind wandered at the unborn child killed by covian hands and he wondered if it might have been saved by Dondinia if i had stayed faithfull to her.
He took a deep breath and lowered his head in prayer , peace falling over him as he talked to his goddess. He knew what he had to do and raised on his feet. " My goddess , i will never betray you willingly. And with your help , i will prove my worth so that one day i will truly be a warrior of Dondinia , a true sentinel"
Looking back a last time he walked out the temple. It would be a long and hard way , but he felt confident he was up to the task.
