First babies nearly always come late... no idea why!

Well. Sometimes they have to be induced as the placenta can become inefficient which poses a risk to mother and baby. The baby does not get enough oxygen or nutrition. I think normally they leave it for 7 to 10 days over your due date, after that it can become dangerous.

find myself finally at a point where the kids dont need me all the time: they go to school themselves, no need to arrange babysit if i need to step out for a little while ( i never leave them alone at night tho ), no more feeding, dressing and so forth. Pfew !

Oh yes. I agree totally, it is so nice to stop being a slave and having a life finally! I would never want anymore babies! Of course when you have ageing parents to look after it all starts again, however this time nappy changing is not like it was before...... eeeewww.... but then there are old people's homes. hehe
