Wow, what a show.

The stage is the best thing I have ever seen in the theatre, it really is Epic

The songs were not up to much unfortunately, but its more a play with songs than a musical.

The characters deliberately are over acted, which does work. Although i was convinced one of the Elves was doing 'Vogue'

When you first walk in to take your seat there are massive of Hobbits running around the seating area's chasing glow worm type things and climbing walls and generally other Hobbit type activities. It was a really good way to start the show.

Gollum had a similar role to that of the movie and performed just as well.

Special mention also goes to the Orcs for thier costumes and design and for the Dark Riders who were a little scary! Oh and for the giant Shelob!

Its easy to see how they spent so so much money on the set up, down to the revolving floor that doesnt just revolve but has about 16 independant sections that raise and lower.

Awesome.

I did notice however that it wasnt sold out, which is a pity and may hurt it in the long run. But might mean you can get cheaper tickets!
