Attended a nice Friday 13th event at the Trinsic Rose last night. There was a bone collecting contest, so I partnered up with Kai and we went to Haven to hunt horde minions.
I still cannot hold a sword in my right hand so I tried wielding a blade left-handed and managed to kill a few. I think I would struggle against a human opponent or one of the smarter monsters, though the little horde minions are not too difficult, even in my injured state.
We won a prize for collecting the second highest amount of bones, and the most skulls. I think Kai enjoyed himself, though it's not always easy to tell with him.
There was a spooky story-telling contest as well. A masked entertainer had prepared an epic poem about Murphy the Skinner, and told it very well.
As there were only a few contestants, I told the story of when Raul captured me and left me to be eaten by zombies, though it was all ad-libbed.
Surprisingly, Gwen, the elf now in charge of the Rose, said she couldn't pick a winner. The masked performer was the clear winner, in my eyes, having obviously put the most effort in.
It seems strange not having VanQa at the Rose. Gwen is nice enough, but she isn't VanQa.
She's very pretty, in that strange elvish sort of way, so she has already attracted admiring glances from many of the men. Predictably, Devante has already hit on her, but then he'll hit on anything in a skirt. I should really put him out of his misery before he contracts syphilis.
