Im liing what I see so far, just got past the fast 5 levels, but not left the first port yet.

The main thing is ship to ship combat, which works really well, all the requisite thigns like different shot, aimed cannons wind and so on seem to work well.
Just finished a group mission which was 6 of us verses 11 Pirates, which was amazing, a little bit scary at times (And I did run away for a bit I must admit) but great fun.

Havnt tried open sea sailing yet, or trading or even PvP (which seems to go on a fair bit, various towns are blockaded and then you can choose to fight over them or not). Pirates are perma flagged PvP, as are naval offices to other Nations

Seems a lot too it.
