Militia Training Turns Into Pub Brawl!
I’ve been receiving reports from the north that an alliance of Yewish rebels and Vesperians attempted to assault the Militia ale house in Stonekeep last evening but were soon “shown the door”. Apparently a small group of Yewish militia were already warmed up and ready for combat when the Vesperians and rebels turned up and assaulted a couple of militia trainee’s outside the local tavern. A battle ensued and the militia took the day, and some prisoners to boot!

Hahaha! Is it not wonderful? Did I not warn you fools this would happen? But no. In your stupid human ignorance and arrogance, you did not heed me. Now Magincia is starting to crumble, you cannot hope to save it.

Hear this and hear this well. Not even the full force of daemon power has been released yet. These are still but the minions of the arch daemons. Nothing will save you if these are released. You humans, elves and heretic drow can fight on if you wish. What do I care, you are all doomed. And once Magincia lies in devastated ruins Trinsic will be next!

Look on Magincia and gaze upon what is a fraction of Lloth’s power. She is not Queen of the Abyss, ruler of the Daemon web Pits for nothing. Gaze upon Magincia and say you still believe that the Mother of Chaos has no power on the surface. Gaze upon Magincia and hope that the Divine Mother does not release the Tanar’ri or worse!

Dear Poste,

There do seem to be a number of pickpockets active at the moment. My gold disappears at an alarming rate. The good news is that it’s all small sums of up to 500 gold a time, mostly - but not always - from the yellow bag that hangs at my belt, as anyone can see if they just look at me.

Only one thief has ever stolen something from my yellow bag that I treasure - a private diary - and even though I put a notice in Ye Poste offering 1,000 gold for its return, there was no response (not even to haggle the price up!) and I never got it back. You can read this appeal in 17 March 2007 issue of Ye Poste.

In case the pickpocket (whose name I have since been given) reads this (or indeed anyone who has found it or come into its possession), the offer still stands but now raised to 2,000 gold, given to anyone who shows me the diary privately to prove they have it. I can be found most Mondays and Fridays from 7 to 8 pm at The Trinsic Rose and Wednesdays at The Trinsic Rose Free Repairs Hour.

I guess I should be thankful that my experience shows that all pickpockets are small-time thieves with not much ambition...
