Magincia Still Not Safe, Mages Warn
Magincia Reaches Stalemate
The battle for Magincia seems to have reached a stalemate. Most of the city is shattered, and looting has been regrettably prevalent, but the stalwart defenders of the city continue to push back the invading hordes. However, all is not well, say the leading researchers of the Mage Council. "The moongates have been warped into a form they were never intended to hold. The etheric disturbance is tremendous, and we fear that it will get worse before it gets better," warns the Mage Council's spokesman. The Royal Guard has ordered all nonessential personnel off of the island, and is maintaining a minimal force to secure the city. "Daemons - even big daemons - my men can handle," says Sir Brendan of the Royal Guard, officer in charge of Magincia's defences. "But once the mages start talking 'unstable planar rift' this and 'etheric resonance crisis' that, I get my people out of the area before they get blown clear off the map."

Healers Abandon Magincia
Brave Protectors of Magincia Left To Die In The Streets!
Seems to me the healers have abandoned Magincia, as I made a visit to the city last eve and found wounded people simply lying around unattended in the streets! I managed to catch up with a healer who had been serving in Magincia, one William Lalley of Haven. He had travelled to Magincia at the start of the invasion but said he had left for fear of his own life. The invasion force of daemons had apparently gotten so close to the docks that it became a matter of personnel survival and the healers simply had to leave, according to this fellow. One wonders if the daemonic invasion will stop with Magincia, if not then who is next!?!




Rumours

Word on the street in Trinsic is that Vesperians have been heading to Magincia not to help defend the falling city, but to loot barrels of ale! As if they don’t have enough in Vesper already!

I met a man who called him self "The Grey Wizard" today and he asked me to pass on a messege to the Deuk of Trinsic. He said "The Gargoyles have the truth, i sence it. They and the spider queen work together. Seek the gargoyles duke!"

Tell that dopey priestess of Loth to stop filling our streets with her endless dire warnings. Let her know if she wants to wreak her so-called destruction down on a real town, the people of Yew are well and truly used to such abomination and will mock her challenge!

We'd like to see how high-and-mighty she feels on the sharp end of a lynch mob!

Yes, let's remind her that the Yewish always out-do those troublesome drow heathens. We'll see how smug she is to the human race when she's the sharp end of a pyre thrust up her backside!

I appreciate the Morning Poste must make some spurious factoids to increase its dwindling readership, but let's not offer too much glory to the Yewish militia, shall we? "A small group of Yewish militia" against a raging horde of Vesperians and rebels? We think not. Try seven insurgents squaring off to a mass wall of Guardsmen and Covians!

No wonder the Guardsmen recorded their own victory to date against the rioters of Yew!
