The language is certainly quite wordy, put i think there is actually quite alot of dark humour in the book, Miss Temple is quite a hurting character but seems most of the time to be calm and collected, Dahlquist certainly seems to have been able to make the characters fairly 3-dimensional

There are also some quite ranchy scene's which make it less of a children's book, particularly the scene with Roger in the centre of the gallery...
