| It dawned on me, the great power of souls... You can heal yourself with the power of a dead body.. what could be possible from the soul of a living creature? Such power can't be over looked, the power is endless..But how to collect it? How to use it?
I have learned from Les'tran that the will of the creature must be broken in order for the soul to seperate from the body. The creature must think death is near and unavoidable. With a strong will it is nearly impossible to extract an undamaged soul. Even the process of extracting the soul is very dangerous if done incorrectly, as Les'tran has said.
I have ordered Les'tran to retrieve the encantations needed for the extraction process... I fear I will not be able to do this alone, yet I do not want to bring Faeryl into harm's way. I shall attempt it myself but if I am unsucessful I shall call upon Faeryl. Together we will get what I need.
I do not know what would work better for my needs.. pure souls like those of angelic elves.. or perhapps a foul soul of a twisted slave waiting to meet Lloth. Only experimentation will tell. |
