Work Ethics: Cearul works hard when he wants to do something, although is slightly sloppy when tasks are what he believes to be below his level. If the task is to kill you can be sure that the action taken will be swift and deadly. Cearul does not complain, although this is mainly down to his trouble talking, however annoyed he is at a task, it will be done. Skills: To say that Cearul is a talented Marksman would be an understatement, where most archers learn only from a teacher, Cearul has had the extra benefit of learning tactics from all the books available, something he owes to communication problems. With this knowledge and skill he is deadly. His weakness is working with his fellow guards but this is something that he is working on and should improve as his speech improves. Personality: Cearul has always found it hard to get involved with other people, being silent for the majority of his life has meant that solitude is something he has had to get use to. He is a kind fellow and fairly mellow the majority of the time although has a horrid temper if his buttons are pressed. Do so at your peril. Background: The life of a mute is fairly lonely, as such as a child growing up he did not feel a part of anywhere. He read all the books he could get his hands on and as such, has good knowledge of many things throughout the lands. His writing skills were also good and well practiced. Although the career of a scribe was calling him he decided at Seventeen that this was not the future he wanted so he ran away and trained the skills he read in books far away from Britain where he grew up.
He lived a fairly contented life as a ranger, he found hunting bear’s and deer’s fairly enjoyable as he could try out different manoeuvres with his bow. However, one day when he was wandering throughout the lands he noticed a group of men tackle the might of a dragon. Trying to learn from this, Cearul went looking for a dragon of his own to slay but when he did, he found it too challenging for his skills. Now aged Thirty Two, Cearul was thirsty for more knowledge so that he could one day tackle one of those beasts.
While searching for a master to learn from he came across a leaflet for The Royal Marksman Regiment, an elite group of archers. Looking at this as a sign, he immediately went to the Head Quarters and signed up. He was advised by the captain to go to Britain to sign up for a signalling course, he decided not to go and just worked on learning more about archery and different approaches. He had not been joined long when the Regiment was disbanded.
The leaders of the Royal Marksmen then setup a Trading Company called Stirling and Kendall which Cearul decided to join with, he did not have much to offer them but his fighting skills and so undertook various hunting missions. He then heard of a new procedure that could help him speak and so rushed off to discover more about this, forgetting to inform anyone of his whereabouts. He joined the course and started to make progress with his speech, the progress was very slow and it took several years to get him to be able to say sentences within a decent time period. He then decided to return back to Trinsic and the Trading Company.
When he got back he was welcomed with open arms and the leaders were delighted to hear his voice for the first time, he was offered a position in the newly formed guard force that the company employed and this is what Cearul is a part of now, at the age of Thirty Six.
Reputation: In Trinsic, Cearul is not very well known as he has not been around for very long and as he does not speak much not many people know of him. Motivation: Cearul has several motivations, the biggest objective in his life is to be able to speak properly, he has dreamt of the day this happens since he was young. He also wishes to be well known, his desire for fame stems from years of obscurity and loneliness. The most likely option for fame is through his skills as an archer so if he does not get the recognition he desires through normal means he may choose another route. Beliefs: Cearul has read everything about religion and with such conflicting views wrote down he has never really understood how one path could be chosen, he was seen as a cursed child and has always shied away from religion. He is fairly cynical about what might be. Time line of events:
