Van Cocidius

The very last game of what's been a long but fun week of the very first Sosarian Olympics. The triathlon was planned to give the toughest of athlete's a challenge. Even the Orcs came to witness the end of the Olympics, although they seemed to be more interested in the Olym-pig..






Each team had to nominate their best competitor to take this race and try to win double points for their team. It started at Vesper docks, where the competitors were to sail their way along the coasts of Vesper up onto Swaggerland's beach, where they would then run up infront of the Swaggers and mount their horse. Upon horseback, they headed north to Minoc, past the mountains, and down the bridge - into Vesper. At Vesper bank, they dismount and ran the rest of the distance on foot, from island to island on a course plotted by flames. But who was to cross the line first? Well.. it was Jackal Verilax of Bucc's Den, though he was disqualified for taking a 'shortcut'.. So who was second.. but to take the gold? No other than Elliot Heath, with Skara coming a close second and Cove coming last, but wearing bronze. Trinsic failed to take part in the race, and Vesper's Trading Company also failed to make an appearance all week apart from Monday's boxing.

With the last of the sashes given out, it was time to declare the overall winners of the Olympic Games, via the overall leader board stated below;

1. Vesper - 27pts
2. Skara Brae - 18pts
3. Trinsic - 11pts
4. Cove - 8pts
5. Bucc's Den - 2pts
6. Vesper Trading Company - 0pts


So it was Vesper, winning my a landslide with a total gap of 9 points between first and second. They won the million dubloon check, and the grand prize that has no value.. The Olympic Sword. Not to mention the chance to host the next Olympic Games.






There was also another prize for the competitor of the week, which went to Elliot who managed to win five gold medals and one silver, in total gaining Vesper TWENTY points! He won a check in the totals of half a million dubloons, and a pat on the back.




A word from the Baron..

Dear all, I'd like to thank you all for making these Olympic Games a huge success. It was hard to imagine a few weeks ago that the games would lure in this many competitors from all over Sosaria, but one thing I was certain of, was that it'd be fun. People have told me that they have had a great week and can't wait for the next games, and I in return have told them of the fun I've had, and I look forward to thinking up yet more games to hold in the next Olympics.

First of all though, I need some time off as they've taken alot of time and energy from me but honestly, it's been worth it. The end of the Olympics, doesn't mean the end of the fun. Myself and a few others are already planning other things to bring the people of Sosaria together again, having fun, joking, and getting on. Putting aside our differences, our beleifs, our purpose, and showing that behind all this we're all equal, the same.
