| So its like a Halo killer, but for UO?
+ what Aeri said. "Don't get too excited". Saying that you aim to develop a game with principles of UO using modern technology is like saying you want to make a typewriter with a bluetooth port slapped on it somewhere. Its not going to work! Too many new MMOs are coming out now and any good or "revolutionary" ideas have arrived the wrong side of WoW. Players that like a game will stick to that but the kind of numbers you need to make a new game successful and fun and to have a future just can't be generated IMO. With the numbers (and certainly graphics) that UO has today, EA would have killed it off within a year had it been released in this day and age.
The sad thing is, a good chunk of people who play WoW probably don't even know what an "MMO" is - they just know that there are shooting games, RTS games, FIF... football games and then WoW. Blizzard managed to scoop up all that potential that UO and EQ didnt manage to grab. And every other game before and since, for that matter.
