| The new Euphoria physics are amazing and hitting people with cars is actually fun now. As is shooting people in the legs and watching them crawl off.
The dialogue too - hearing some homie go "Protect ya neck!" randomly or - as a girl character model in multiplayer - I heard a guy say to me "Come sit on my knee".
I am disappointed with the lack of any real use for money, such as a proper garage or housing, perhaps it would have been a good idea to have insurance as well, whereby that nice car you have - if you had an appropriate garage lets say - would return there once blown up (at a cost). Also despite the improvements, the graphics still look fairly cartoony in areas, so they could improve a fair amount with that.
Then there is the matter of the $50 mil from Microsoft. My PS3 friend reckons that the PS3 will get its own exclusive content later on, but why pay 50 million just to get exclusive content before another console? There is so much they could do with DLC before they even come to downloadable expansions on the scale of VC or SA (I would seriously love a vice city 2 done in RAGE).
Overall this game was not a disappointment at all, in the way Halo 3 was to an extent, and I love it. I think the sites - many - that gave it a 10/10 were being a bit optimistic and premature, because if you were to take a good hard look at the gameplay there is some things that can still be improved upon that people may not like.
Oh yeah, multiplayer is amazing. I am impressed at how well online play handles, with cars and pedestrians when players are far apart. Cars, boats, helicopters, RPGs, its all going on! How that can happen and PES can't just shows that the GTA people actually know what they are doing, which gives me faith in anything else they have planned for the future of GTA games.
