| 300 No, I'm not talking about how many ozle and friends forums there will be, I mean the new graphic novel movie based on Frank Millers Battle of Thermopylae comics. I'm obviously behind the times as I only just saw the trailer for this on TV recently, but its only 6 months away.
A mainly unhistorical, fantastical, stylised version of events (just look at the spartan 'armour'); it seems this movie may be a good watch. I mean, with the amount of sexing up the ancient greeks did with their stories, it would be a real bore to have to sit through a realistic, historically correct version of events for this battle, so how else are you gonna do it.
Obviously I can base this on the trailer alone, and I can only hope they don't manage to do a Troy, an Alexander, or even a King Arthur on us, but if they can keep the fairly unique graphic feel from the trailer, I'm sure they will come out with a good film that can be watched by people who both know the historical background of the events, as well as those who don't.
Any thoughts? Especially from people who disagree with me.
