Character background: Colin Garth was born in Luna to James and Elisabeth Garth. He was a blessing to his parents that had long tried to conceive. He was a healthy baby and always felt loved. Almost to the point that his parents spoiled him, especially James. When Colin was three years old everyone was surprised that Elisabeth got with child once more. The healers of Luna had told the Garth's that it would not be likely for her to have more children.

Brianne Garth came to the world a sickly baby that shouldn't have a chance to even reach her first year. James and Elisabeth Garth went to see the Luna mages in desperation. The only advice was to pray and wait. There was nothing anyone could do to help the little girl and prayers wouldn't harm. Following the advice James and Elisabeth visited the chapel every evening, praying for their daughters health to improve.

After a few days the miracle happened. Brianne got better and had a better color. The prayers had worked better than anyone could have expected.

A year and a half later when Colin had reached his fifth winter James and Elisabeth had discussed the gifts they had received in him and in Brianne and agreed to to send Colin to the Paladins of Luna for an education and to one day be one of them.
