During the weekend I have visited Durinka again to bring her the latest news of the Quarter and of the drow. I also had a guest with me who was granted permission to travel with me into the Silmataurea, namely Jern Fretting. (It felt to me like a really great honor to lead someone into Eska'eldalie) As he is a good friend of both Miguen and VanQa I had requested Durinka if he could come and see her. Hopefully the visit will bring some smile on his face as lately I find him sad, unhappy.
Oh what am I going to tell Durinka, how will I say it to Miguen?
After last night's tavernshift I went to Trinsic to see if the Baroness was about, to hear about what will happen to Iglata. He will receive some lashes and will then be returned his freedom. I was completely stunned when I was told that. We all know that he killed. And we all know that as soon as soon as he leaves Trinsic, he will return to stalking VanQa which will end with her death (unless someone gets to him first, but then this person would be committing a crime and may end up facing trial him/herself). How am I going to tell Durinka that I find that her and VanQa?s faith in these Trinsician humans is rather misplaced?
No, I am not supposed to doubt these people. I am merely here to do what I am told to do. If by law this is the choice of Justice in Trinsic, then I will honor it no matter my own personal feelings in regards to this all.
I shall have to order Draxandru Rose to go to Eska?eldalie, she?ll not be safe here in Trammel.
The baroness gave me the translation of what is written on VanQa:
Live with You
You will sleep
Death is Forever
You will awake
Justice will choose
I love you
Child of the moon
I wonder what it means. Because even though it is proven that hurting Iglata does not hurt VanQa, it means something?
