This is not an easy letter to write, but it has only grown harder to write nothing.
I'm sorry for not delivering this news to you in person, but I feel under normal circumstances, it would be too much. And, these circumstances are anything but normal.
As is evidenced by my writing to you, I did not die in Magincia.
For several months, it seemed likely that I had. With all that had happened, it was a rational assumption to be made when a person goes missing, in the heart of the invasion.
Instead, I became trapped in the realm, on the other side of the rift. It bore a similarity to depictions of the human concept of a sinner's afterlife, known as "hell". During that time, even I came to believe that I had died.
My time in that place has changed me, in many ways, and I thought it better that you continued to believe that I had died. In some ways, that would have been a preferable outcome.
However, I think rather than protecting you, I was just being a bad daughter. Perhaps the worst of my failures.
Please do not be angry with Meygan, for not telling you. If there are such feelings in your hearts, then the fault lies entirely with me.
