I want to change servers because I don't like the name.
Seriously,my main concern is, if we have someone working on keeping this server going that is "tired of it". Maybe we should consider leaving for his sake.
My other concern is longevity. Will our posts be there in 5 years? When I began seeking out RPers a few months ago, the depth and history of the posts here is what sold me on it. To be honest at the end of it,
f4g was pretty impressive the stories and histories you people have done. I know that we still have the memories but to an onlooker this kind of thing stands out, believe me, I was an onlooker six months ago or so. We have lost that recruitment tool for now but I want to ensure we'll have it again later.
Another thing is the money, with a bigger population on the forums we will share the burden of keeping it open with other people, even non rpers. No we won't be the center of our universe, but we need to quit isolating ourselves anyway. I was chewed out, (in a nice way
) awhile back for not intermingling with blues in game, how is this any different?
In the end it doesn't hurt to have Devs see our complaints and suggestions. Let's let those guys know that RPers play
UO because it is the best game for that kind of thing and that we need to be heard also.
One of the major concerns to others is being edited or deleted to death. I want the forums to be constructively respectful.
I would like to ask the person running this thing if they really want to do it and if they are not fully committed to it, I want to move, simple as that.
