Everyone who was ever in a 6-man dungeon could have told that, I mean if most pcs go below 5 fps when fighting 5-6 mobs, it is obvious that 48v48 won't work without changing details to low on high-end machines. But the servers didn't crash and that's a good sign I think.

And considering the mid-level content, you don't need a prophet to tell that siege are not completely finished yet.

Yeah, ill wait till a few more people siege and get the same probs. Bit wary of going on one report (could of for example have been a laggy day), but your right about the FPS! And considering my peak FPS are 25-30....

they did say that Sieges were sorted the other day, oh how I laughed

This is something that baffles me about AoC. In lotro I could run at full spec and would never go below 25 FPS, even in large(ish) crowds and the whole world would look incredible!

In AoC I'm running at medium and as soon as a couple of people appear I'm stuttering.

So, could someone answer me this question: Why does AoC use up so much resources? Why is the game spec so high? Why does lotro run so amazing on a dated machine?

I'd never go back to lotro, it really wasn't my kind of game and AoC has an incredible combat system and I love the fact that you can't walk through people too! I'll keep playing. It just annoys me that it runs so badly/averagely on my machine, which lotro runs amazingly on..

Simply because AoC has more advanced graphics and what not. Even though LOTRO was released last year (right?), doesn't necessarely mean that they used up-to-date graphics of that time.

Also because AoC client simply sucks.
