not trying to be, well, awkward here but...the factor of only letting set people into the organisation and set people into the guilds within the organisation...does sound like an overall combination of all the past transfering to a new game. Sure its not meant to be, but does sound like it, same as the potential benefits to guilds within it, or wanting to join. Set criteria to be considered decent enough to join the org, to recieve interaction...to my mind is, a backward step from past experience. Even more so, when, as vita has said, the games not even released yet, but still seems that set ideals, criteria and stuff are trying to be set, not saying its necessarily a bad thing, but, its looking to be stepping into potential rp/org politics, before the eggs even hatched. Just saying overall, shouldn't need a full set of rules, regs and a full guidance council to say "most of us are going to roll on server d".

Having a community where its members are proved to be mature and easy going, and not some stuck up biatches (I assume thats what you are refering to sam) is our first priority. Noone will tell you why is your guild like that, and why this and why that. All the members of the community are easy going. Most guilds are light to medium rp. Some are hard core, but dont seem to mind that the rest are not. Also, the leading people of the community are two people who lead 2 medium rp guilds. As for the rules, we have just few for the moment which are more of less behavioural. We are not elitists. We are trying to create a role play community everyone can enjoy, and all this time I'ver been there I was thinking it would be cool to have the old gang there plotting and fighting, and drinking and berching and generally having fun like back in those old days.

Seon, the plans for the organisation dont seem to be a bad idea at all and i truely hope it all goes well for it.

Dont let some our past experiences taint what your doing, put any doubts in your mind or get you all annoyed. Some organisations work others stumble along full of good intensions with alot of backstabbing in the background. Just because afew have had bad experiences dont mean to say you guys can work well together.

I honestly hope things workout well and it runs smoothly.Personaly at the start of AoC i just want to run along getting a feel for the game for awhile and see where it goes.

Having done some light research on the subject, most "real" eu rp guilds are gonna go for the server ALPHABETCALLY LAST on the server list, just to maximize the chanses och a high % of rpŽers vs. "Zomg arrpee, lest trie!" people who will go on the top servernames..

I think a coalition HAS its merits in terms of knowing which guilds are rp-friendly, and whose members are ready to partake in rp.. Apart from that, its "hard" enough to run your own guild in a successful way (depending on goal ofc) if you have a huge organisation to adhere to aswell.. Good luck tho with all you are set out to accomplish, and hopefully i end up on the same server as yaŽin whatever guild i end up with..

RpŽers unite ! (but dont merge to much )

How to say this so its more easily understood..or read..

I tried to say, its not necessarily a bad thing for an organisation to be formed. I did say, from my own past experience..I'd be keeping away from it as much as I could, for now at the least. The games not even released, I've not played it, but the talk of organisations and rules, before the game is released, grates upon me, by myself.

If its to say "these guilds will rp"...for me, you dont need leaders and organisations, you just need a list saying "guilds a, b, d and z will rp and interact with others", from my viewpoint ofc.

I do, hope it works for you, never said that I wouldnt, I'll even point people towards it, but...I'll keep away from it

I think the reason so many different coalitions and the like has formed is that people have been waiting for so long for the game to go live, and just spent their time working on the rp aspect alot..
I dunno, i think as Snubbie does, that its not a bad idea, but since we really wont know how the game will look in a couple of months, iŽd rather put the most of my energy into making the guild i end up with work really well within the confines of the game/gamemechanics and worry about other guilds/serverpolitics secondary (ofc without disregarding them, thats a bad thing on a rp-server)

I do hope that the coalition ends up on the same server as us tho, but looking at your forum, there are vocies to go for Asgard, and personally i dont think that will be a top-server for rp due to the fact it will prolly be the biggest in terms of playerbase.. The rp vs. tardratio will be the same on all rp-servers i guess, but id rather have 1k tards than 5k :P

Oh, that sounds familiar. I think I heard something similar here ca. 2003 or something. I was actually just reading a few old mails about why I left CoRE and such. Anyone want a refresher?

from reading the noticeboards briefly the whole coalition looks to me like most rpers in WoW...elitist pricks....

"Dear guild, we don't think you are going to fit in with us so we're removing your membership"

was the gist of one thread. The game hasn't even gone live yet for fucks sake.

ah Rolo has become such a bitter boy and I still remember when he joined in LB such pure and uncorrupt thing he was... Now look what years of abuse and MMO gaming have done to him, Uncle-Jer is proud

The more beautiful and pure a thing is, the more satisfying it is to corrupt it.
