Read this thread and it made me smile.

How many orgs start off full of "bright ideas" "mature attitudes" etc etc

How many time were people banging on about respect whilst making sure a guild they didnt like got shafted?

Who leads an org like this? Someone who wants to or someone who is forced? Why start an org like this?

Respect to Seon/Gorn and all that and no offence to you mate but the inherent danger in an rp org would seem to outweigh any potential benefits *unless* you really do have it being run by the right people. And then when someone disagrees with those right people where does it lead?

With all the best will in the world its hard enough to get people who *like* each other to agree on something - and after a wtf-pvp ownage session its almost impossible.

Its a lovely idea but Im skeptical - very skeptical - apologies Seon.

Well isnt CoRE one such organization you all describe above? Or used to at least.

But anyways I just wanted you to know this option exist, and I would very much like to share it with you guys.

About the rejection of guilds to join our community, it wasnt elitist action. That specific guild was comprised of people who didn't want to rp, and also had some organizational problems which more or less is the description for zerg pks. Since we don't tolerate such attitude, the HC council decided to reject the application.

We have clearly set our minds in what we wanna do. And I mean all of the member-guilds. The leaders of this community are the leaders of each guild, each with the same weight of opinion. The rules (is you can call them rules, more like guidelines) comprise mainly of behavior issues (insults etc) which are the basis of any community.

As for the server, we wont be heading for Asgard I can tell you that.

Closing, I would like to add that we are comprised of light-medium rp guilds with emphasis on having fun. As I stated above, I'd be glad to see you online and interact with you. Perhaps even remember the old days.

I think it's worth a go, but I do think it'll likely suffer the same as almost every community. But the amount of fun you get out of it should out weigh the bad stuff, much like ERPA and CORE was for the most part imo. Once it goes the other way round it's time the leave, which is why many of us are now not playing UO.

I'm looking forward to getting into Age of Conan, which is a fresh game with some nice features, and getting into a fresh community and seeing what happens

I tried LOTRO and that just wasn't for me, but the people I was around were very nice and I'd have liked to stay with them, but the game sucked imo. Lets see what AoC brings

Dude - I just cant help but think your never going to find a game you like again =)

AoC will be very much like WoW, GW, LoTRO and the rest. Sure there will be minor differences and hopefully good balanced pvp and well thought out stuff. But it will play like those other games - of that I'm pretty sure.

Any MMO requires lots of time to play it and like me you dont have that anymore. You need to be available to be online for strectches of 2, 3 or more hours straight. If you had had that time in LoTRO you would have enjoyed it more. LoTRO is a much better game than WoW with much more of a sandbox feel.

I think you hanker after what you first had in UO - community and role play and all that shizzle. Sadly I doubt that will ever happen again on the scale it did in UO. And despite the well intentioned attempts such as this one [the Coalition] I doubt we will ever reach consensus in an MMO again.

Imagine going to WoW and telling all the players they cant use their purplez in rp pvp. Youd just get lolled at =)

I like the idea of the coalition and salute the ones of initiative behind it. with past experiences I can see why optimism is in such short supply, however I believe everyones good wishes are with the project.

I shall for now have to watch from a distance, but will definitely get a character on rp-pvp sooner or later.

It's a sad truth that MMO these days generally do not suit me at all. But I love MMOing! I'm just waiting for one that looks and feels right. I am hoping AoC has the at least got the right visual look about it. LOTRO didn't feel right.

I just want something dark, with actually good looking armour weapons and stuff, with a half decent combat system and potential to build decent guilds. I keep thinking about starwars galaxies, because that had all this stuff!
