Henry grew up in the town of Yew. His father was a poor lumberjack, his mother a woman of the night. At the age of ten Henry killed his first man after someone beat up his mother and, in retaliation, Henry took his life long favoured weapon, a knife, to the mans throat. He subsequently also took his first stay in jail a short time later when he was arrested for the crime. After being released from jail shortly before his fifteenth birthday Henry received the news that his mother had, only months before, died of the pox. His father had long since vanished and so Henry was now alone.

Years passed and eventually after making something of a name for him self within the underworld of Britannia, Henry joined up with a gang of outlaw’s that lived at an old fort in Yew. Life was hard and he often had to take mercenary and bodyguard work along with his usual criminal activities. During this time he worked for people such as Lady Tabbitha of the Knights Hospitallers as her personnel guard. Someone whom he would one day grow to hold a great grudge against, for having him once again jailed for murder.

Time went by and eventually Henry, off course, broke out of jail. On returning to the fort he found the old brigand leader, once a hard drinking, bare-knuckle fighter, to be but an old man. Henry didn’t waist time, on his first night back in the fort he crept into the old brigands tent and murdered him in his sleep. Shortly after the body was discovered, Henry declared him self the new boss, and though it was obvious to the gang what had happened, he was not challenged.

Henry now runs the gang with an iron fist, dispatching those that might challenge him in a most cold hearted and underhanded fashion. He has returned against his own will, to jail a few times, but they never manage to hold him for long. His bloody life thus far has been a tale of woe. But one day his cold-blooded greed may just earn him those piles of gold he seeks….

Name: Dexius Brutus

Age: Mid Twenties
Alignment: Evil

Dexius was born and grew up in Magincia, his father was the military advisor to the Lord of Magincia. Dexius joined up with the Magincian army at a young age and reached the rank of lieutenant. It was then that he became arrogant and disrespectful, believing himself to be superiour to everyone else, including his commanding officers. They only suffered his dispicable behaviour because he had the ability to win on the battlefield. Dexius was an efficent killer, and it came very easily to him.

Eventually Dexius' commanders could no longer tolerate his behaviour and he was banished from Magincia. It was then that he began to travel around Sosaria with his sword trying to make money anyway he could.

He found that honest money did not come to him as easily as dirty money did and that there was always some poor soul he could steal from. It was then he realised that his old life was behind him and if he wished to survive he would have to do what ever it took.

Dexius then fell in with a gang of Brigands lead by a ruthless man called Henry Winter. At first Dexius did not take well to Henry's leadership questioning his decisions at every turn. Henry Winter was not one to be questioned and VERY quickly put Dexius in his place with more than one physical warning.

After a few years in the gang Dexius proved himself time and time again in battle and his unquestionable loyalty and ferociousness impressed Henry Winter so much that he was appointed his personal bodyguard.

Alignment: Neutral/selfish

Son of a distinguished perfumier, Oliver had a privileged upbringing in Britain. A well-educated and foppish young man, he cut quite a dashing figure in the capital and was never withouta crowd of friends and hangers-on. However, like many young men with too much time on their hands, Oliver soon discovered the joys of wine, sex, gambling and, when the boredom inevitably set in, opium.
At the age of 22, Oliver was caught selling his father's formulas to a rival perfumier in order to fund his spiralling drug habit. His father promptly disowned him and threw him out of the house.
Cut off from his trust fund, Oliver found his so-called friends were quick to dessert him, and was forced to fend for himself. He turned to crime, but was caught fencing jewellery from a wealthy widow he'd seduced, and spent the next two years of his life in prison.
Free once more, Oliver has decided that there is safety in numbers, and has thrown in his lot with Henry's men. Just don't ask him about prison!

Youngest daughter to an elven noble, ran away from home when she found out her eldest sister was getting the entire family fortune in her fathers will.
Has sworn to make her own fortune by fair or foul means. She joined the brigands after she was left for dead when a mugging she was comitting went wrong. The safety in numbers has given her greater confidence in her skill as a brigand. When roaming from town to town she uses the alias Freya and posses as a trader from Serpents Hold.
