Regardless of what they're paid to do or volunteer to do, I don't think waiting around for a bunch of out-of-touch EA employees to organize our fun for us is exactly productive. Their events and ours should go hand in hand. The day players stop using their own initiative and imagination completely will be the day the game really does die for good. |

I think we've already established with them that our events and theirs going hand in hand is going to be near impossible. And we don't need anyone to organise anything, I and everyone else has fun each and everytime they log in, otherwise they wouldn't play. A mass event would be nice, but I couldn't give a crap or notice if it never happened because internal guild events, and nightly tavern dwellers always offer spontanious RP that will happen regardless if every guild is crammed into one City or not.

Of course I'd be missed, but that wasn't what I was saying. Just don't think there's any dire need for a mass meet event like there was months back. And the EM's get us together enough to be sick of each other. And there's plenty of other events that get people together, I mean just looking at Trinsic we have my expedition, the fight night, and the Trinsic Rose on Fridays. Just look at other guilds and their events, there's lots of stuff going on if people want to interact with neighbouring guilds.

Exactly the reason I said in my first post in this thread. Plebs like you (and I) on these forums mean shit. You can talk and talk and talk all you want but you don't have the authority to say an entire guild will be at X or Y location on N date or time. He needs to be talking to guildmasters and trying to organize this event, which is something entirely doable. Like I said, if you don't like the idea don't get involved - but there's no need to be so negative in here otherwise. |

Well that's not true. The GM's of guilds aren't the only people able to pull strings and make events happen. Of course we can't make guilds turn up to our events, but we can offer them something which is no different from any other mass event that's been planned. I'm not a GM, and I'm currently planning a festival event in Trinsic that will take up a whole week so people can dip in and out of fun activities. So you're saying because I'm not a GM, this event will not have anybody come to it? 'Course I can't make them come, but we are a community and we're in this together, so it's only good nature for people to turn up. And I wasn't being negative. The idea would work, sure. I was only pointing out how the EM's are being paid to do this area of event planning, bringing the whole community to a pin point. | ||||||||
