[OT] Hacked account

I play Ultima online and have done for 6 years paying them $15 every month. While moving into my new home I took a break to stop myself wasting money as I would not have time to play it.

Last month I decided to start up again and tried to log into my account to make the payment and reactivate the account. The password details was wrong so I had the password emailed to me but it never turned up. I then got worried and emailed EA support telling them I had took a break and the account was no longer in my hands and what can I do?

They asked for the account name and such and the last 6 numbers of my credit card I had used to pay for the account subscription but I pay via PayPal for a game code that gives me 30 days game play. I explained this to them and then they proceeded to ask what the last game time code was. Since the last gametime I bought was back in August I did not have this information

They are also asking for the last 6 numbers of the card on the account now but since its been stolen there is no way I can get this

They said they will not help me get my account back and confirmed its in use still now.

What can i do here?

Sucks. I can understand that they won't help you, because they have to assume you're one of the evil haxxors unless you can prove otherwise.
I think it'd be pretty tough proving the account is yours when you just paid with game cards.

Anyway, here are my suggestions:

* if you EVER used a credit card, try to give them at least this number
* ask if they can check the credentials of the person who originally opened the account. If they can, offer to fax in a copy of your passport / drivers license, etc. to prove you are the person who originally opened the account.
* maybe they can check your connection history regarding the IP.
IPs can be traced to certain countries. If some dude from another continent is now playing on your account it's pretty obvious there's something wrong.

But still all this may not work, as they could argue that you could have sold your account and are now trying to swindle it back. It's really up to their goodwill I fear. I guess it would have been much easier if you had used any sort of credit card

You use paypal? show them a recipe, you can find in your paypal account you used to buy the code. Or if you haven't deleted the email with the gametime code you can show them that. Or just tell them the exact details of the account when you had it (whose name it's registered in etc etc).
