Can I just clarify this isn't meant to be a yes/no poll. The only reason there's a "meh" option is beause you are not allowed to make a poll with one answer.
I'm not looking for who is against. Anyone who wants to go to the other place can do so. I am just looking for who wants these boards to stay so I can assess whether it's worth putting any more effort in.

I've been on forums that have suffered hardware failure or been hacked before. They restore from backup and you lose a few hours of posts. It's not usually a big deal. A failure of this magnitude, followed with "Well I've been playing a lot of WoW lately..." by way of explanation doesn't leave me with much confidence in the f4g administration.

I've the distinct impression that the 'yes' or 'meh' options have served to confuse people. Some think 'meh' means 'no' and some think it means 'me', and some are totally lost and don't understand what's being asked at all, insofar as they'd like a forum in which all the rpish types are posting, but given the recent crash and subsequent 'how about uoforums' 'how about jolt' discussions don't know if this poll means "Do you want to STAY on THIS site as is and suffer the consequences/reap the rewards" or "Are you thinking 'sod f4g', I've lost 84years of guild history and I'm in a mood now, cheers, as soon as I see another viable option, I'm out of here".

Edited to add-
Regarding my personal 20cents worth - Servers crash, and we lose things every day of the week. When someone hosts a site, such as this, for like...forever...predominantly out of their own pocket, those of us who use it ought to be jolly pleased and grateful for having had the option in the first place. Obviously.

Can people, please try to realise, the forums WILL move from the owners admin/server to a multinational, hosting company.

Alongside that, it wasnt just "Well I've been playing a lot of WoW lately...", it was due to RL Work, being away from home. He did the hosting for these forums as a hobby at first, then kept them on later as more or less a favour. Such posts, are basically insulting and obnoxious to the highest degree. Please keep it in mind that the owner kept these forums going, with a loss to himself financially, because of the community.

IF it was a massive company, who charged for the forums who had the failure, yes, I agree, doesnt cut it. Seeing as it wasnt. Seriously..

I think people know it will be not in the hands of Marty anymore but of Cal on a server at Jolt.

The question aint that becuse both choices are stabil and trusted with pretty much the same features.

It is what more they offer then just the ability to post messages that matter.
But those ive mentioned in other threads tons of times.

No it won't be in MY hands. Can I just make that clear?
I know people hate my guts. They don't have to worry that evil Cal will be ruling the forums with an iron rod.
The existing admins will be running them. Taggart, Snub, Cheri.

So Taggart Snubson and Cheri is the ones that can tell Jolt to do this and that with the boards even remove them or burn it down if they decide?

Becuse as ive read it is that it would go through you (not managing it but the hosting), but if thats not the case then im sorry for reading it wrong.

Yes, exactly.

My part in it is that I am making use of a few contacts to get us a deal. Once that happens I won't be having anything to do with running the forums other than the normal moderating I do already.

Ah apologies to Laton, thought he'd gone for some reason! Well he's a WoW dude so once again, not CoRE.

I'd rather see the CoRE forum on a site like UOF, where it can potentially attract people from other shards and whatnot. Not secreted away here.
