How would you do this? ( Solo Prisioner Escort)

You have captured an Trinsician enemy (Not an enemy of Trinsic) in the Trinsic Rose and have to bring them to Ice Island, your ship is at Britain Docks. You know you have 30 minutes before a posse is on your tail. You cannot cast the Gate spell.

Was thinking via Moongate, but that works on the user picking the destination. So the prisioner could pick Sacriface, and the amount of choices it be hard to find them again. So that ideas out.

Walking to Britain, you know that they will catch you on the road. Cross country might be safer, but the prisioner might run when a monster attacks.

Is it possible?
Could just plant it in the sea south of the Rose and sail away.

Why will they catch you if you have 30 minutes head start? Only takes a few mins to walk to Brit from Trinsic

If you are a powerful mage or wizard its perfectly feasible - also depends on your view of UO game mechanics. If a Serf whipped out a big one [ooer] I might be surprised but if a Shadowcourtier did it I wouldnt be surprised in the slightest =)

Hand the boat model to one of your accomplices and tell them to go and up anchor. They can bolt off somewhere off screen and set down the boat to sail back to meet you.

Alternatively, trust that your prisoner isn't-a-ICQin' and take some bizarre, snaked road back to your base camp to cover your tracks. From experience, your chances of being caught are slim and if your prisoner's helping their guildmates find you right away, they probably didn't want to be a prisoner anyway.

Maybe 30 minutes is a real time estimatation. In game probably be about 5 minutes max.


Think the only solution will be to have help, Mage for a gate be the best.

I'd suggest walking, though.. the moongate isn't that far off.. if they roleplay right. If you've captured someone, they're in your control.. so if you're dragging them through to Britain, they'd go through to Britain..

If they choose another destination.. well.. how is that good roleplay?

Reminds me of a time a bunch of us captured someone, they went along with being tied up, and there was 7 of us and just him.. we opened a gate, tried 'dragging him through', he hid, we thought he'd went in, so go in.. and he runs off on the otherside.. despite being tied up and chained to us..

Given the amount of time you would be travelling alone and in the wilderness and the fact that its just you and your prisoner. I fail too see why he doesnt try to bolt as soon as you let your guard down, or even try to overpower you. I know full well if you caught Raul and tried to take me overland alone, i would do everything in my power to influence the direction, slow you down and if you left a opening or got sloppy, kill you or escape.

It really unrealistic to expect anything less from a captive, the sensible captor waits for backup.

sensible captors beats the victim into submission until they are a bout to die, then they drag them cruelly. or if guards, gang beat the prisoner into submission then, always in gang escorts him to his final destination.. and most importantly they BEG the prisoner to attack them or try to escape so they are justified for killing him then leave his body as food for the wolves (deataching his head to make sure he' dead and possibly de-limbing him to prevent bodily reanimation... a zombie whithout arms and legs doens't go far)

it is really unrealistic expect anything less from a guard or an evil captor bandit..

if escorting a prisoner isn't faesable, kill it. solves the matter quickly. then carry his body along at the very worst you can resurrect him for questioning later OR.. re-animate it as your undead servant.
