![]() | Regarding the old forums and what is and isn't CoRE... With all the talk about the old forums after their horrible death, I was wondering something about the old layout. On the CoRE website, when you click forums, you get five links. In the middle are Councilors Hall, Fireside Table, and Town Crier, all of which are pretty straightforward. Then at the top and bottom you have CoRE Entrance, which leads to a bunch of guild subforums, and Europa Roleplaying Entrance. Which also leads to a bunch of guild subforums. So like... what's the difference? All the guilds formerly listed under both headings are warred to all the usual suspects and conform to the CoRE rules. Like if Joe Schmoe forms an RP guild, obeys the rules, wars everyone, and takes part in RP stories, the Schmoe Knights aren't actually a CoRE guild? Does Joe have to like be anointed an official CoRE Guild Dude by some "big shots" swearing him in? Is this a protective mechanism to keep a hundred newbs in two-man guilds from getting seats at the big-kids table and voting the ROE into Fel-style arti gankage? I've only been on Europa about a year, someone explain!

However, with the disintigration of CoY and ERPA, and more guilds willing to war each other irrespective of affiliation, then membership is not really essential. CoRE membership is more like a guarantee of quality, like the little lions you get stamped on your eggs.

| Senior Member Lady | Ohhh... that's going to bite some people in the arse Cal. What CoRE is that everyone in CoRE must war each other, then they can pick and choose if they want to war someone outside it. - I think, correct me if I'm wrong here. Also the 2 months phase ensures the guild will last and isn't just Joe Bloggs and two of his friends that end up drifting off and never acheiving anything bigger. |
