Its a place where i can come and talk to my old friends and collegues. Its a place i can have a laugh and generally catch up on UO gossip and game related stuff. Its a place i can try to offer advice or voice opinions on RP and game related stuff. Its the main place to find like minded UO RPers in any great number now.

If you dislike the topics or infact the forum theme, noone is making you come here Klion. But the rest of us who do come here and post, quite like it really

I agree fully with Klion . Very much . [ I dont have a probelm though and I think if people are happy with the current state of play its fine . SO what if its full of babble and drivel? ]

Havign a practical purpose?

Well prior to the origianl f4g.net big bang last year there were probably over 100 regular posters and this forum was used for a lot of idea discussion, rp discussion, new idea discussion and all sorts. It was avibrant and interesting forum for role player to visit. But many posters left after that original crash and reduced us to less than 100 i reckon.

The second crash recently lost us a lot more posters - Im guessing its probably below 50 active posters now - a lot of whom dont play Uo anymore. So its changed and evolved into a different forum.

I think that also the All Gm board is used for a lot of discussion and role play ideas and generally this has also take away some of the direction of this forum.

Consider the fact also that nearly every topic gets taken into babble - so posters who actually want a discussion abotu uo topic a dont really get it - so they give up.

Now im not anti babble , anti stupidity or in any way criticising any players posters mods gms agms players or whatever.

Those are the facts as I see them.

You're probably right, Callum. Perhaps they will drift back with time, and certainly next year's expansion should help. I say should, because a lot of people were looking forward to Age of Shadows too.

The odd thing is though that some of those that complain now about this board being useless have, in the not so far past, been a well of useless and disturbing posts and at the same time in the first row of those complaining about those Mods that tried to keep the board sensible.

I wouldnt come here if i didnt like it But must admit i preferred the old CoRE general forum better, but this place is not that bad really.

Maybe you could solve both of these problems by introducing selected topics from the all GM board to the public (i.e. the rest of us who don't have a one man RP guild yet ).
Maybe when we have things to discuss that actually matter, the posts on this forum may look different.

well a poll is hardly a starting point for discussion.
You like beer? yes / no / discuss.

It would be more interesting if you could actually follow the reasoning and motivations behind certain proposals that come out from the GM board, instead of just being presented with a poll. But then again we grunts may just lack the brain power to join the discussion....hence all the babble and whine.
I can see however that GMs and mods in special want to restrict all this to the GM board, since most content is probably highly flammable. Granted, the Drake and Dragon has now much more asbestos proofing with all these fluffy babble threads. Yet fluffy stuff is usually pretty dull too.

I like beer. * nods* but Ale is better * nods, nods* . Floria is making a lot of since and that scares me. Heck when anyone makes a lot of since to that scares me and makes me worry for them. RE: user ship I would have to say I been mostly a lurker for a while and its reasonable to say I am not the only one doing that after the crash .
