Well I don't play UO anymore because I quit for WoW, But I'm still a roleplayer at heart! *Tear comes to eye*

And recently on the forum it's been mercenary this, mercenary that and this morning I had an odd dream of a mercenary guild name. Something along the lines of The Devil's Advocates. Now personally I think this is a good guild name, But as I don't play anymore and don't have any intention right now to come back I'm just seeing if anyone wants to maybe use it. Now if you don't know the term Devil's Advocate it really has nothing to do with the devil as such, It's argueing for something you disagree with. It's being able to argue for both sides even though you may disagree with it, Basically, Losing your morales. Which mercenaries should do else they're gonna get no-where, They fight for money with good examples such as Brigands Of The Fort and lots of other guilds who are low-down a mercenary guild.

Erm, Well it's just an idea but if you were planning on making a Mercenary guild contact me i'd like to know what your ideas are as such. Remember if your going to make one it needs to stick out. Lots of mercenarie guilds have been made and what usually happens is that when they're not being paid to fight by a side they have absoloutly nothing to do. This isn't the case with Brigands Of The Fort because they are also, obviously, brigands. I'd most appreciate any feedback on my idea, And if you want to use the name.

If a potential GM can't even think of a name for his guild, then it's bound to be a failure anyway since it's evident said person lacks the creativity to be a GM.

just make an army or militia guild. It's pretty easy to come up with names for them and one more or less won't hurt (or get noticed) anymore heh

p.s. and if anyone would have played ultima 6 you'd know what 3 times spam and 1 x humbug does :P

Except that name has been used and you may LOL at it Devlin as it was a very fine guild in its time. Without that guild and its later version there would be no Cove.

Besides, what part of The Black Caste, The Crimson Rogues, The Crimson Claw or any other number of shadey guild types doesn't sound generic fantasy? It's all part of the scene.
