All Terry Pratchett books are good, and really, few things beat the Luggage. Or Death.

I love Pratchett and want his babies. The Watch series is excellent, or if you're looking for what I think his best stand-alone discworld book is, Going Postal is yummy.

Oh and anything with Igor.

My favourite character has to be Nanny Ogg. Especially when she's drunk.

My personal Pratchet favorite is Good omen. Pratchet & Gaiman managed to counterbalance each others shortcomings, and the book is really outstanding.

Thud! is a great book. It actually made me cry, and that's rare in a book for me. I love how Pratchett takes serious issues, makes a grand fantasy and a genius comedy from them, then right when you least expect it, you're bowled over by sheer emotion. The city watch books are my favourite, it has to be said. His Grace His Excellency Commander Sir Samuel Vimes is an incredible character. Pratchett and the late David Gemmel share the same single, incredible talent that sets them apart from every other fantasy writer with similar descriptive abilities, and that is the way that their characters are both human (or not...but you know. Mundane) and yet super-human. They both share the insight into what makes a man no more than a man, but still a hero.

But my favourite Pratchett book of all time is probably City Watch. The insight into humanity in it is absolutely stunning. But they're all amazing.

City Watch? Night Watch surely!

But yes, I love Sam Vimes, perhaps even more than Nobby.
