I got a book this morning in Fel - tried Destard Tram (I usually go there for half an hour before work to get scales) and it was rammed.

The books drop more frequently in Fel but just be wary to fend off the red lol.

In Trammel the drop rate is slow, a bit too slow to be bothering with considering the items will be back again at a later date.

Yeah Cal theres a named wooden treasure box, like the one your carpenter can make and a music gear.

Nice to see the original dungeons back in action though.

How you get so many books, what type of character, where and how long?

I have 1 book and i find the whole grind so mind boring.

1 book = named wooden box containing random treasure
10 books = rare musical gear, the Wanderer (Status Quo anyone?)
25 books = big slow sword
50 books = gorget, part of the armour set

I got 26 the first morning of the event within 2 hrs. Since after that first 12hrs it comes and goes tbh. Just do any creature that rewards with high fame.

And if you go to fel they drop faster there to.

I've done about 7 Cyclops and almost 10 Ogre Lords and got complete jack. I was told by someone that warriors do better than mages/tamers but I didn't see any evidence when I switched chars.

Yesterday i got 18 books in just under an hour with nps. I noticed i did go through 'dry spells' of not getting them, then i would get several in a row

I'm doing OK. I hunt in Fel, with a tamer. I haven't had as many as Dec but I've managed to get my musical gear (10 books) and am halfway to getting the sword. Nearly.

The best way i found was to mark several spots at good spawn points. Then recall between these points killing the spawn. With a decent slayer and armour set its pretty easy.

The lich lords in Fel give reward as well and you only get the odd pker which is easy enough to handle.

A friend has given me a few books as well which was very considerate of them.
