Good day to you all.

We would like to introduce a relatively new RP guild on Europa called the "People of Tarendon", A Guild in which we roleplay a small community of poverty stricken civilian workers, under the guidance of a newly appointed Lord, and a High Priestess. The population as a whole, will be eager to trade with other Guilds and Towns in order to survive.

With a few exceptions, we are all veteran roleplayers who have migrated from the Baronship of Cove Civilian element, and are simply looking for new challenges. We do currently have relations with a couple of the other Guilds, but we are hoping to attain diplomatic relations with more of the other guilds on Europa too.

We have read the CoRE rules and will follow them strictly, although we will add a few of our own, in keeping with the Guilds mythical idiology.

Hello and welcome...

Is that like the Serfs or are you trying to build a new town somewhere?

One of our members was initially the Mayoress of Cove, another was a Nobleman who ran the Crafters Union in Cove, when it was active. However, our other members were once Serfs and Commoners.

We have, so not to cause problems within Cove, started our own Village in Trammel, but we will in effect spend the majority of our time roleplaying in other areas and towns, as the need arises.

I personally always thought the Serfs did a great job out of doing the citizen roles. Hanging out in all the towns, always available for trading and events and stuff. Old guild, experienced members, lots of history, all the possibilities...

... please don't take this personally or something, as I tell this to most new guilds, but why not support what is there rather than reinvent the wheel? Just so there can be a Lord about?

I have to agree with Aryala, its better to go with a guild thats already in existence ( you still see a few about ) than to start yet another guild.
But that tbh is their own decision, either way i wish them good luck.

Nothing wrong with starting a new guild that has a similar theme to an already existing one, as long as you're successful. I mean, with the same logic you could tell new Grd recruits to come to Vesper because after all, it's pretty much the same as Grd because Vesper has a cool militia, right?

Its all very well pushing people into already existing guilds, but is it healthy to stifle the enthusiam and vigor a new guild on the block could provide? Pushing them into a semi-active guild like SRF would just destroy them.

And yes, sometimes it is better to voice opinions beforehand rather than just smile and nod to everything. In my opinion, this can be more helpful than any amount of "good luck" posts on such a board.
