| The Trinsic Rose drawing contest
Yesterday there was the Trinsic Rose 2nd Anniversary. One of the contests was/is a drawing contest which had the theme "Tavern scene". The drawing had to be related to a tavern.
Please help me choose the best of these very imaginitive drawings by filling in this poll. (artists are not mentioned purposely to make the contest as fair as possible)
The artist of the best drawing receives a (sur)prize.

Drawing 1 a drawing
*The paper is stained as it's been on a water tavern table*
*Thick lines with charcoal are placed on the paper. It appears to be a house with a lot of people in it. You see tables with things on it. The stick figures sitting at the tables are all coloured with red wine to get the colour purple. They are all holding huge cards with bingo numbers on it. A horizontal line made with crayons looks like the bar. There's a woman standing behind it with a large smile on her face. An arrow with the words Ma'am Gwen indicates the obvious. Leafs from the Rose plants are stuck to the paper with honey to form alot of Trinsic Roses*
Drawing 2 A childish drawing
*A childish drawing done with coloured charcoals taking up the entire page predominated with carefully blended purple of different hues.
Drawn, are several couples dancing with their arms around each other, each one with a bright smile or a laugh.
At the forefront of the picture in the front of the rest of the dancing figures is a man and a woman, the woman has long blonde hair with a rose in it and is dressed in purple like the rest of the crowd with a billowing skirt and a deep red apron. She is being lifted from her feet slightly as she is being spun around by a tall, stocky man also in purple with a silver -RM- badge pinned to his shirt.
In the background somewhere is a small part-Drow child dancing with a little green elf, he is handing her a purple rose on a long green stem and she is kissing him on the cheek with a mischievious grin.
Somewhere else in the background is a young, fairly tall woman with dark short hair and a mouse sticking out of her pocket, dancing with her is a beaming young man with red hair, dark eyes in a logn purple robe and a party hat.
All around the dancing people are vases with varying colours with purple flowers and roses in them and streamers and ribbons fall from the top of the paper with extra random splodges of purple and green here and there for effect.

Drawing 3 a tavern picture
You see a big room with many tables and chairs, all full of people. There is a long bar at the end of the room with many kegs of ale and cider and other drinks, and a fat happy looking barman leaning on it. A pretty barmaid with a very low cut blouse is serving a young man in a soldier's uniform, she is winking at him and he is grinning back. There is a big warm fire burning cheerfully in the fireplace to one side. On the walls there are brightly polished horeshoes with bunches of dried herbs and flowers tied to them which you know will smell sweet and nice. A young boy in an apron much to big for him is running round collecting glasses and wiping the tables.
At one table is a group of men with jugs of ale and a pack of cards and little piles of money and they have obviously been having fun playing cards for a while and drinking ale. At another table there is a young man and woman holding hands across the table and not interested in anything except eachother, they have even forgotten to drink the bottle of wine which is on the table by them. In one corner near the fire an old man has gone to sleep over a mug of cider. Two women are talking animatedly to each other over plate of delicious looking food. Several people are sitting at the bar with various drinks, one is reading the Sosarian Morning Poste while he drinks. Over the bar hangs a sign: "The Blue Boar, Britain".
Drawing 4 a true rose
*The picture has a combination of drawn lines and petals from roses giving it a collage like feel. The picture contains a wonderous amount of colours that instantly catch your eye. The scene is of a full tavern, with cheerfull faces all around, although you can not be sure it wuold seem they are celebrating a victory, or a liberation. Of course they could just be merry on the liquid that was once inside the mountains of ale and cider casks that wno have been tossed into the corner, ready to be re-filled in the morning. Each person in the picture is represented by a different rose, cut to cleverly look like outfits. The remaining bits are crudely drawn on in pencil but complement the perfect form of the rose petals. The faces are smudged and no real features can be made out. In the picture over the fireplace hangs a large letter *small white dot over the copy of this picture*, this is to give a hint of the artist who constructed this masterpiece*
Drawing 5 a tavern scene
*The drawing is surprisingly simple: an open doorway, framed by an arch of intertwining roses. If you look closely enough, you canjust make out hearts hidden in the petals and twisting creepers...*
Drawing 6 a sketch
*you see a sketch of Trinsic Rose tavern room full with people
Gwen is standing behind the counter wearing a jester can and is handing out drinks to the various guests sitting there.
Devante is sitting at the wall of the bar with his chin resting in his hands, while he only seems to have eyes with what seems a love struck look for Gwen.
At the bar you can also see Tammy barely dressed chatting with a Pierre who either is flirting with her or calmly talking about some virtues.
Tammy has moved quite close to Pierre and you can see one of her hands caressing his hair while her other hand is in Pierre's gold pouch, relieving it of it's content.
Rak'suun is throwing darts at the Mongbat statue, but it seems he is throwing very badly as one dart is sticking out of its wing and two others have missed it totally. It seems as if the Mongbat is showing Rak'suun its tongue which in turn lets the drow scowl and raise a fist threateningly at the statue.
Lady Alraune sits on one table and seems to read the cards for Lady Soulshadow. Something though seems to have happened as a few Kaldorians and Sir Adammair are standing around the table looking confused and upset.
If you look closer you might see that the card of the High Priestess has been revealed twice in this reading.
Behind Alraune you can see a giggling elven child resembling a lot Zefar who holds a second pack of cards in his hands.
At one table you can see Hugo and Keina playing a boardgame. Hugo looks furious and Keina cheerfull as she has captured almost all of Hugo's pieces.
In one of the far off corners where it is almost dark you can make out two figures. A stocky woman with short hair with a kind smile resembling Brynhild is sitting on a chair, holding a seemingly terrified ferret in her hands. Kneeling in front of her is a muscular man with long hair and a beard, wearing a Kaldorian uniform and he seems to resemble Corwin. In his hand he is holding a rose offer.
Sitting a table away from them is Iljian who is covering his ears from the seemingly wrong keyed singing besides him. The chapter Iljian is reading is "Detective work without being beating up for beginners".
Just outside the taver a woman with long braids sits besides a man on a log. They are kissing each other and only have eyes for each other. If you look close you can imagine that the woman could be Kaelyn and her friend resembles Tiggarn.
You can see Thaur just behind the corner lifting Kaelyn's purse, as she is oblivious to anything except her love*
Drawing 7 a drawing
Sketched on the paper is a simple pencil drawing, the contours thin, hard and filled with shades from a softer, thicker pen. Displayed is a simple scene from the Trinsic Rose tavern. The right side of the paper, from the bottom to the top, is entirely claimed by the fireplace. Several of the hard lines trace the outlines of the hearth and mantelpiece, as well as indicating some of the individual stones it is built of. Shades of different depth slide along the outlines, thus adding texture to the stones. The fire within consist of a wild mixture of lines, seemingly random yet revealing an intricate pattern that guides the gaze when studied longer.
To the left of the hearth the corner table has been sketched. Soft shades dominate this section of the picture, indicating the dim lighting in this niche. Behind, the window opens into the night; deep black shades and few rare hints of an outline within. A candle on the table fights against the surrounding darkness, driving the reluctant shades away from the centre of the picture and leaving them to fill the corners and edges instead.
Seated within this little island of light, with his back to the door and displayed in profile to the onlooker, sits a man. Cloth, items, the pitcher before him - all drawn in extensive details with the sharp pen, only mildly shaded where absolutely necessary, to add texture and depth. Face, hair, hands ? in fact everything that would allow you to recognise him - has been sketched with generous, fluid lines of a softer pen, leaving the figure anonymous and strange. He sits, sunken over his pitcher, his left hand under his chin while the right arm hangs limp at his side. On the floor next to his chair, slightly lighter in the surrounding shades, lies a sword.
Within his pitcher the water ripples as a single drop falls into it. Below the surface, held in the softest hints of a shade, unfolds another world. Traces of home, flowing wisps of family, loved ones missed and remembered. Whatever is seen by the stranger is too vague to make it out on the drawing, yet it seems no more necessary than his face.
