1 - What do you actively log in for?

1) At the moment - to chat to guildmates, and 'move things along'. I also decorate the house. I collect books, and write items and store them.

2) Events, Roleplaying, Roleplaying mini-events. or character maintenance before said events.

3) At present, I am rebuilding the ***********guild. We started in 2000, inheriting the mantle of a mongol nomad guild from *************when *************left UO. We have always been an independent guild, and when I elft UO for some time, things fell gently away. I am now about to launch our new story line and hopefully see some new people join. So to answer the question, it has been finding a new homeland, connecting with those members still around and planning. We log in to roleplay and to fight monsters mainly, also to take what part we can in the wider events.

11) my daily GGS gain. I'm not even trying to be cynical here. It's just not that there's much going on right now that captures my interest.

14) I will log in for a whole host of reasons but with regards role play i tend to log in if there is something planned - either a guild event or something like the Trinsic moot. I tend not to have time now to wander around for hours hoping to hit on some rp.

22) I actively log in for RP, and to take care of my job within my main guild, and for training my "unfinished" characters.

28) On Europa: General RP when possible -- events when they happen to coincide with my playtime -- sometimes just to hunt, buy regs, etc. at off hours.

30) Playing the game. I log in when I feel like playing UO, nothing more to it really. Sometimes I log in if a friend asks me to in order to help them with something.

39) Actively, outside of general loafing I think you might mean. I actively log in for events people have called about or invidividuals have called me for something. Though I do loaf around in UO plenty enough anyway.

42) At the moment only for my tavern nights (once a week) or if there is something interesting going on (weekends only, or during the week if it starts before 8 pm GMT)

44) currently I only log on for running weekly contests in the Sword and Shovel tavern. And sometimes for taking guaranteed skill gains.

46) When there isn't any schelduled plans I login to collect BOD's, train skills, choop wood.
And with my Templar char I can sometimes just sit in the HQ, walk around in citys, patrol areas.
Otherwise there is planed events that takes the rest of the time.

47) I log on to advance my character trough social interation.

48) RP and sometimes PvP

49) During the day I log in briefly for a bit of character development, earning a bit of gold, completing BoDs etc., updating rp profiles on the paperdoll etc.

50) - Usually a meeting of sorts or to try and talk to other chaaracters as part of an ongoing scenario

51) As a GM, I log in for my guild regardless of what?s happening. But I like to see what?s going to happen, as I rarely have any idea

52) Building Houses, saying hello to folks, occasional lectures if it interests me, maybe other events

53) PVM and training skills

54) To get involved in roleplaying events. Planned or not.

SO the results would suggest that as of the time of the poll its actually events which are one of the key reasons players log in to UO.

SO things which are pre-arranged or which players know about in advance that they look forward to.

Clearly there is a need to put on events of all types.
