tbh i think it's probably the other way round. especially when you consider how Fel pvpers talk to each other:

i pwn u = "i am compensating for my lack of penis by devoting my life at being good at a computer game"

Not all fel players are like that, and not everyone uses scripts either,

Instead of saying no, it could atleast be tried...

We used to have loads of roleplay battles in felucca which pk's never interrupted It was extremely rare for a pk to come along and join in the battle. and yes since the AoS we were quite capable of standing against pk's.

How do we avoid a pk waiting for us at a battlefield? the two sides form up at their respective HQ's only the GM's (Or whoever the organisers are) know where the battle is going to take place.. and they take their guys there.. so the only people who know where it will take place beforehand, are the organisers, which reduces the chance of a pk finding out where the battle will be and setting an ambush.

And should a roleplayer get say... "pissed" and they bring their red to exact revenge on whichever side beat them.. im sure someone within the roleplay community knows who they are, and imo if they resorted to that then they do not deserve to stay within the roleplay community or guild that their roleplay character is in.

The excuse of "i can do what i want on my pk because im not in a roleplay guild with it" should not stand, seeing as how respect is what makes or breaks a community, and the lack of respect for the community shown in such an action should be acted upon, simply because its not just the characters that are a part of the community, its the players aswell.

I seem to remember back when we all lived in Felucca, before Trammel even existed, that PKs were quite rare, even in heavily populated areas such as Spiritwood. Most of them were even nice chaps, and while they wanted a fight, they did so on nice terms.

We had our griefers as well, sure, but it was nothing we couldn't deal with.

If you all go to Fel, of course it will attract the attention of the PKs and such, but as soon as you establish there and they get used to you, it won't be a problem anymore. The novelty of killing GM-geared people wears of pretty fast, I should think.

One thing I would mention is that player killers are in decline anyway in felucca and unless you go lookign for them they are pretty rare - currently on champ spawns the ration of blues to reds is about 3-1 sometimes , if not more. I havent met a red in felucca outside of Yew gate in years - apart from that nice guy in Dreamstone last year and a genuine Red RP Orc in Nohkmar =)

The big problem I still see is that how does it fit into RP if the RP doesn't naturally go into fel?

what kind of RP would we have if we just organise battles to take place in fel for no other reason than the ruleset? it's just kind of daft. And you rarely get just pitched open battles in the middle of no-where.

if you want to fight in fel you need to take your RP into fel, because fighting is part of RP, as is talking and politics and everything else. none can exist without the rest: talking IC establishes politics, politics leads to confrontation in it's various forms.

you got to also remember that fel is part of the UO world so there is no reason why storylines can't be taken into fel. but imo that's the only way i think you're going to get any fighting there without just setting up a special battle with no point to it.
