Im forming a band.
Ive got this bard character, and he totally thinks hes a rock star.
Id love to put a group together that just was the entertainment troupe.
travels about, jams out, makes money or steals it. Kind of gypsy...

Then again, Lyim could always dabble in Jazz flute.
Though my bard could provoke stuff around... So we have a hearder, or tamer chillin with us, if things get hectic. John Paul Jones is quite the character, his acrobatic maneuvers durring the shredding lute solo are a thing to be seen.

So Im looking for people whod either like to try and do this:

A) through VTC: like Lyim could be the manager, but JPJ plays the gigs, thatd be a riot. Lyim could just make all of Johns descisions for him, whlie John is oblivious,

too lost in the music...man...

B) John is already in a guild. "Egotistical Snobs and Snooties, its basically my rockstar guild. Theyre gods among men, and they know it. Good titles, a following, local gigs, big festivals, think of it my friends!!

This could be a real fun outlet for people's talents to shine, like if someone in the band is a decent poet or just good at coming up with silly UO-themed songs that we bug out on, its all wonderful!

I so love playing in taverns, band eats and drinks for free!
Book weddings, promotions, nights with a few drink specials - ladies nights.
Traveling the lands from one pub to the next, living like gypsy kings!!

...So whos coming with me?!

Sadly I thought you meant irl - in which case I would have offered to play a combo electric guitar/drill/anglegrinder for you to beef up the background white noise/fuzz and make you into a proper industrial/punk/metal/hardcore/death/blood/santa band =)

Hmm, I have a Rasta alt Called Robert Murley I never use. He was once seen at an event in Cove where he played the classic "No woman, No cry" which went down pretty well. I'm sure he'd love to join the band and play, well, anything tbh..

I think we could accomplish the band idea without making a new guild, or making anything complicated for people. Itd be funny to see peoples semi-mains having to "go to practice" or whatever. "Sorry Capn, I cant make the tourney this week, Ive got a gig at the Kings Deer!"

Anyway, everyones invited, Id love to see all instruments represented, and a couple sexy dancer types, thatd be a hoot.

This is just a silly idea of mine to spend some time at light fun instead of trying to wrangle politics all the time, or finding Lyim in precarious positions!

I've got this smithy-type character named Detune McFoley. His dad was a smith, but he always wanted to become a bard known and admired throughout the land. Problem is, he's completely tone-deaf, hence his nickname Detune. So in the end he just ended up following his dad's footsteps.

Could be fun for him to try realising his dream again, but if you're looking to make a successful band, this guy would completely mess it up

Hell, we could just make him a drummer, who wishes he was a lead singer, and wont listen to critiques!

I guess I should put down some kind of timetable for this thing. Im thinking monday, maybe, since my weekends are swamped, always.

Could get all interested parties together and hash out whos who in the band, heh...
