Planning an Event Step 3. Choosing Date and Time

Now that you have thought about your event and took the nessecary effort to start arranging it, you will have to choose your Date and Time.

A week has Seven Days (!!!). The current top hours for the Europa Shard are between 2000gmt and 0100gmt, so there is plenty of choice.

Don't make the mistake to plan an event on a day Because it fits you best !!! No !!! Look around first !!! There is an Event Calendar and an Event Announcement Board (Town Crier) on the Forum, you will do the Community a great favor if you plan your event on a day that preferably has no other events on it already. If that is not possible, then plan your event at least at a later time. Avoid arranging two events at the same time, because that other person who is also arranging an event on that day has, like you, put effort in his/her event as well.

Hun you take up three nights a week at a great time. you can't expect to always be the only one that wants/needs that time.

If this wasn't "really" about one of your events or that prompted this than i take back the reference to the rose. but the fact remains that sometimes a person needs that day and time. and people need a choice sometimes veriety isn't a bad thing.

I can't count the times i have no IC reason or inclination to attend an event and am left to wander about because there is nothing else planned.
Choice is good. For example i've no IC reason to go to the rose at this time nor a tour of brittania but a play in spiritwood which are all on the same day does sound nice. thats one thing out of three if it were just the two former i'd be shit outta luck :/

Yes I have to agree Some times its just not feasible IC to be in Trinsic and there fore able to turn up at the Rose.

However we would always support your events if possible IC

This is merely a hint for people when they are planning an event Surely you all agree with me that when you put time and effort in arranging an event that it is quite frustrating when someone drops an event right on top of yours

And as for the comment in regards to Trinsic: The Elven Quarter is at the edge of Trinsic not inside of it

Some of us need other events on at the same time as those happening at the Trinsic Rose as there is a wide variety of characters who are not welcome in the Elven Quarter........what of us......are we supposed to just twiddle our thumbs and not plan other events?

This is not about the Trinsic Rose This is just a hint/reminder that there is a Town Crier and a Event Calendar which can be used for planning events so that we dont drop all events on one day Much more handy to spread them over the week

I think for small events ie Tavern Nights, Bardic Evenings etc etc 'Choice is Good' as both Jade and Cherry mentioned above.

But for events that appeal to all like for example the old Spiritwood Festival it would be good if only one event is staged at that time.

To be honest though people will go where they want to go. Even if just one event is held it does not mean that everyone will go to it just because its the only event on.

So i think in summary change is good and it also creates competition and a little competition is always good for the economy.

Right so in future will people just check the calendar! If there is nothing on the day you would like to do it then do it. If there is another event running why not postpone your event till the next day or even the next? Its all about being polite and showing respect to others.

Exactly Wesley its about freedom of choice. People may run events on certain days because of real life constraits or many other. Yes its nice not to have conflicting big events.

I assume when you referring to the event that was at the same time as yours last night, you are talking about the play we put on at Spiritwood Theatre...

If we have upset you by holding it at the same time as your event I'm sorry, but the decision to hold the play was a last minute one as the play complimented the event happening at Brit Castle perfectly and we only decided at around 3 hours notice to perform it.

We do take note of other events happening before we decide to hold events of our own, and so the next two performances of the play are scheduled when there are no other events happening and are posted on the events calender and will be posted on the Town Crier in advance.

I just try to point out that there is a calendar and a town crier for people to use when they plan events they're handy !

I think you are getting very confused VanQa, Cherry's player made the post as a reply to the original post. It matters not who the poster was she was replying to a post made by a player of the Rp comunity.

As for the agreement if there ever was one. To avoid you giving grief she said she would not post on the Elven Boards even though she has never said anything negative anywhere unlike youself.

There was no need to send her Pms saying that she is not to reply to any post you make on any boards. If your not happy people replying to your posts dont put them on public boards.

This is the first time i have ever said anything publically about your actions VanQa. I think you should get over your problem and move on. But you cant expect people to ignore comments you make on public boards. Thats what public boards are for to create discussion.
