Aliens Vs Predator on PC. The Marine side of the game, when playign it with lights turned off sound up high, the Aliens Soundtrack CD supplied with the game playing in the background and the little blips on the motion sensor as guide your marine through poor vissibilty areas and then forget to check the vents above as a screaming alien drops on you.

Very, very atmospheric and if you got too into it any noise would make you jump out of your skin (well did me :P).

The pure freakyness of the Silent Hills as well were a winner.

Most fun games would be the good ol' fashioned point and clicky ones, Discworld 1+2, monkey island series, Grim Fandango and sam & max.

Halo 1, where you first encounter the flood..

And as above, Alone in the Dark was pretty scary. The camera angles and the fact I was little.

Funniest.. mmm.. One of the is Postal 2.. the whole plot to it.. but other classics like yea.. the point and clicky ones.. MI 1&2, discworld etc. Also a scene where you see renard's head in "The World Is Not Enough" on n64. Looks hilarious.

Bioshock Demo

I hope it's good as it borrows from System Shock II.

Quake = pants.
Condemned = Hmmm atmospheric.
Thief =atmospheric, but amusing. Which is better.

System Shock II (or SS2 if you prefer) is such a lovely, lovely, lovely game.

It was released at a similar time as I recall. Deus Ex is another game with a relatively involved character evolution process, is story driven and an FPS/RPG hybrid, but there is no specific link between the games as I recall.
