I can't remember what all the freaking ERPA GM's were, spent all my time in ARM! I'll be placing the founders of the 4 big guilds now - Vesper, Cove, Yew and Trinsic. Then, maybe monthly, a new person will be inducted into the museum which will be chosen via a vote in this thread. How does that sound?

I think the point is that considering that the majority of people on this forum had little contact with CoY, it's doubtful it will get fair and accurate representation. I don't think all of those on Meiko's list deserve a place as legend (Rhiannon? C'mon..), but I bet the end list will only have a couple of token CoYers who happen to have been known by CoRE members.

Well, given that CoY tended to keep themselves aloof from most other people for a long time, it's hardly surprising that we don't know the big names from the past. That's not a dig, it's just a statement of fact. Klion is the only one who springs to mind who actually started encouraging interaction with other guilds. (Don't shoot me down for this, I said he's the only one who springs to mind, not the only who who did!)

Well, 'aloof' is a word with fairly negative connotations. It's very easy to make statements of fact subtley critical through the choice of words used. It's a well known rhetorical skill. I don't think I need to retaliate with an example of a 'statement of fact' about CoRE to make the point.

If this is a CoRE members and interactors legend project, fair enough, call it that. Just don't make out it's speaking for any greater RP community or anything.

Here we go again...a nice idea gets all messed up with politics !!!!!!!

I was in CoY, ERPA and CoRE over my 11 years in UO...in that order. All were fun in their own right and all had their downsides, (like when i tried to work with a few of the notable CoY members to interact more with the ERPA guild i was in at the time).

Its Van's idea so lets offer helpful comments without slating communities/people off.

I would suggest maybe Van goes around in game and asks people about who they admire from the past of the various communities. Yes some names from the old times will be forgotten but some will remain in the memories of a few.
