| Not true! I remember walking along the road a few years back, minding my own business. I had a pair of open top pumps on - ballet flat-style shoes - and I felt something on my foot. Looked down. It was a wasp. He just landed there and stung me for no reason at all. Bastard. I got stung on the bottom of the foot by a bee once as well. That was kinda my fault. We had an ancient pear tree in the garden, and the pears it produced were horrible, but the insects used to love them. When they fell and fermented a bit, the insects would get drunk and flounder about in the grass. Being a kid, I was always running about in bare feet, and poor bee got trod on. Damn though, that hurt like a bitch.

| Insects aren't excacly animals. It could even be discussed if they have "instintcs" or "reflexes". As to provoking them, well I worked 5 years in an infested store and I got only stung once, and that was when the bee had hidden inself my pocket together with my keys. I crushed it into pieces, but it still managed to sting me. And as most insects, the parts were in spasms. My mother used to beat them (All insects with wings) unconcious, put them in the ashtray and burn their wings off with a cigarette. She must have really hated them, I suspect she thought they had no feelings, or possibility to feel pain.
